This drive thru vehicle detector uses Triangular Planar Array (TPA) technology to detect the presence of a vehicle. This ultrasonic vehicle detector handles any drive thru operation, including fast food, banking, pharmacies, car washes and parking.

Utilizing TPA technology, the detection head consists of 4 ultrasonic transducers that connect to the internal microprocessor-based control board. The detection head “scans” the expected location for a vehicle and activates its output upon detection of a vehicle.

Note: 

We'll normally steer you towards the magnetic systems (in-ground loop with detector) but there are instances where these are better (poor condition of concrete/asphalt, dirt lane, landlord or site limitations won't allow a loop to be cut in).  The reliability & durability of these since ~2014 has improved to the point that we have very few reservations in recommending these ultrasonic detectors.
